Target Audience
This activity is intended for community hematology/oncology practitioners including physicians, APPs, and nurses involved in the diagnosis of HCT-indicated diseases and essential for referral to a transplant center for HCT and cell therapy consultation.
Educational Objectives
After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:
- Summarize tactics and resources for community hematology/oncology practices to successfully introduce transplant and cell therapy options to patients.
- Recommend early HLA typing and coordinated care to address barriers and delays to transplant.
- Review resources for insurance coverage, funding options, transportation, and caregiver solutions.
- Recommend use of transplant consultation timing guidelines.
